DESCRIPTION: |
The Fellow (FCG) is the highest grade of membership granted on more extensive experience. The Fellow member must be a senior person in their organisation, such as a listed company, for instance, or a big private company. Fellow members could be group company secretaries, chief risk officers or chief compliance officers, for instance. Fellow members are persons who have reached the higher echelons of their organisations. It must be noted that every public or state-owned company must have a company secretary in terms of the Companies Act. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
Professional Qualification: Company Secretarial and Governance Practice: SAQA ID number: 60654 at NQF Level 8. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
Candidates must have a minimum of five to eight years' work experience. |
Competency Assessment |
Professional Qualification: Company Secretarial and Governance Practice: SAQA ID number: 60654 at NQF Level 8. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
20 CPD hours within 12 months. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
