DESCRIPTION: |
The Associate is the second level of professional designation awarded by the Institute. Once a GradCG gains the necessary practical experience and is deemed to be of appropriate upstanding character, he/she can be admitted as an Associate and hold the professional designation Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (ACG). Associate membership is one level higher than GradCG membership, as an associate will have more work experience and will have moved up in the ranks in their organisation. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
Professional Qualification: Company Secretarial and Governance Practice: SAQA ID number: 60654 at NQF Level 8. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
Candidates must have three to six year's work experience. |
Competency Assessment |
Professional Qualification: Company Secretarial and Governance Practice: SAQA ID number: 60654 at NQF Level 8. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
20 CPD hours within 12 months. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
