| AWARDING CRITERIA |
| For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
Matric.
Taking of oath at 1st year.
Academic Component:
The learner must be registered upon enrolling for this qualification for a period not longer than 24 months, after which the conditional registration expires and the person, upon successful completion, applies for full registration. |
| Experiential Learning or Experience |
| Experiential learning, under the supervision and guidance of a qualified and registered social worker. |
| Competency Assessment |
1. Foreign nationals expected to write assignments and be exposed to oral exam/assessment.
2. Practitioner must submit Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). |
| Designation RPL Statement |
| This Designation may not be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
| RETAINING CRITERIA |
| In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Code of Conduct |
| Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
| Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
| CPD policy requires practitioners to obtain 20 CPD points. |
| Fees |
| Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
