DESCRIPTION: |
The Marketing Practitioner (SA) gathers and uses confidential information about customers to raise awareness of products and/or services through complex and strategic marketing interventions in a way that leads to the customer investing (and re-investing) in the product and/or services. The gathering and using of this information must be done professionally for the protection of customers from exploitation and abuse by unethical marketers. Marketers need to be equipped with the applied vocational knowledge and skills required to navigate marketing transactions and relationships through the complex South African and global legislative framework. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
NQF Level 5 qualification in Marketing. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
Must have completed three to five years' work-based experience in Marketing, at management level. |
Competency Assessment |
Portfolio of Evidence assessed against the designation competencies. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
Designees are required to accumulate a minimum of 75 CPD points for each 24-month CPD cycle. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
