DESCRIPTION: |
The Chartered Marketer (SA) designation is an acknowledgement of the designees` specialised knowledge and skills and extensive experience as well as their command of marketing concepts and processes at a strategic and complex level, evaluated against a set of criteria determined by the marketing industry. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
NQF Level 5 qualification in Marketing. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
A minimum of five years of practical experience in Marketing, three of which must be at a senior manager level. |
Competency Assessment |
Must have successfully completed a three-month RPL process, submitted their portfolio of evidence and have been assessed as meeting the minimum requirements for proceeding to the Preparatory Workshop for the annual CMSA Board Examination. Must have successfully passed the MASA CMSA Board Examination. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
Designees are required to accumulate a minimum of 100 CPD points for every 24-month CPD cycle. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
