| This designation is open to junior to mid-level office professionals with a basic education and some practical experience in the administrative field. |
| AWARDING CRITERIA |
| For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
| Applicants for this designation must have an NQF Level 3 Business Administration, Public Administration or any other relevant NQF Level 3 qualification. |
| Experiential Learning or Experience |
| Applicants for this designation must have a minimum of two years practical experience. |
| Competency Assessment |
| All applicants are required to complete a PoE which tests their skills and competence in a range of office-related tasks. This is assessed by OPSA's CPD Committee and recommendations are made to the secretariat on competent applicants. |
| Designation RPL Statement |
| This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
| RETAINING CRITERIA |
| In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Code of Conduct |
| Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
| Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
| 20 points in a two-year period. |
| Fees |
| Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
