A registered Osteopath is a complementary healthcare practitioner diagnosing and treating patients
according to the belief that most diseases are related to problems in the musculoskeletal system and
that structure and function of the body are inseparable. The musculoskeletal system is comprised of
the nerves, muscles, and bones all of which are interconnected and form the body's structure. |

| For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
| NQF Level 8 qualification in Osteopathy. |

| This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
| RETAINING CRITERIA |
| In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
| Code of Conduct |
| Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
| Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
| 40 CPD points in a two-year cycle. |
| Fees |
| Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
