DESCRIPTION: |
The CDP (SA) designation is a digital practitioner-level designation for people who are affiliate practitioners in Information Technology. They are Affiliate members of the Institute of Chartered IT Professionals also known as Digital Practitioners which is a level below the Associate Member level. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
Occupational Certificate: Internet-of-Things Developer, NQF Level 4. ID: 119262.
Occupational Certificate: Design Thinking Innovation Lead, NQF Level 4 ID: 118788. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
A CDP (SA) candidate must have a minimum of 500 hours of digital experience in end-user computing/digital experience using mobile or computing technology. |
Competency Assessment |
Candidates for this designation will be required to submit a written assignment. ICITP will provide the topic for the assignment to the candidate who must complete and submit the assignment within three months. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
Designees are required to accumulate a minimum of 10 CPD points in a one-year cycle. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
