DESCRIPTION:
This designation is open to junior to mid-level office professionals with a basic education and some practical experience in the administrative field. 
AWARDING CRITERIA
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: 
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification:
Applicants for this designation must have an NQF Level 3 Business Administration, Public Administration or any other relevant NQF Level 3 qualification. 
Experiential Learning or Experience
Applicants for this designation must have a minimum of two years practical experience. 
Competency Assessment
All applicants are required to complete a PoE which tests their skills and competence in a range of office-related tasks. This is assessed by OPSA's CPD Committee and recommendations are made to the secretariat on competent applicants. 
Designation RPL Statement
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. 
RETAINING CRITERIA
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: 
Code of Conduct
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. 
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
20 points in a two-year period. 
Fees
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid.
