This designation is open to junior to mid-level office professionals with a basic education and some practical experience in the administrative field. |
AWARDING CRITERIA |
For the Professional Designation to be awarded, professionals must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Underlying Registered Qualification or Part Qualification: |
Applicants for this designation must have an NQF Level 3 Business Administration, Public Administration or any other relevant NQF Level 3 qualification. |
Experiential Learning or Experience |
Applicants for this designation must have a minimum of two years practical experience. |
Competency Assessment |
All applicants are required to complete a PoE which tests their skills and competence in a range of office-related tasks. This is assessed by OPSA's CPD Committee and recommendations are made to the secretariat on competent applicants. |
Designation RPL Statement |
This Designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning. |
RETAINING CRITERIA |
In order to ensure the currency of professional knowledge and to retain the Professional Designation, the professional must comply with the following minimum requirements: |
Code of Conduct |
Members must adhere to the Professional Body Codes of Conduct and Ethics. |
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) |
20 points in a two-year period. |
Fees |
Ensure that the annual membership fee is paid. |
